Zoning: two proposed districts

According to the agenda, the MxR district would allow high-density, multiple-family development, mostly second-home and/or nightly rental, with small retail and commercial uses. The TR zone is described as covering short-term and long-term rentals, resort and hotel lodging. Both proposed districts would require an individual Dutch John culinary water and sewer connection per dwelling unit. The commission met again on Oct. 21 to review and discuss changes to MxR and TR, review red-line ordinance changes for active edit, and discuss Allen's review of Short-Term Residential Rental (STR) regulations. No outcome from either session is recorded in the available material.

Town Council: clinic architect, licenses, sidewalks

The Oct. 14 Town Council agenda listed selection of an architect for a health clinic; business licenses for Old Moe, Andrew Barton, and High Country Tree Galleries; discussion and possible action on the Town Hall sidewalk, curb and roadway; possible setting of public hearings for the 2027 Budget Amendment, CIB Supplemental Funding, and a Planning and Zoning Ordinance Amendment; and discussion of an EMS and Ambulance Services Request for Proposals. Dutch John Council Holds Public Hearing on Property Disconnection; No Decisions Published Yet

The Dutch John Town Council met twice in the past two weeks, and the Planning and Zoning Commission also convened, but no decisions have been published because meeting minutes are not yet available. The agendas included a public hearing on a property boundary disconnection, a beer license application, and discussions on fire station remodeling and a conference hall payment.

Town Council – August 12

The council held its regular meeting at the Community Center. The consent agenda covered minutes from July 22, 2026, the voucher list, and correspondence. Under old business, the council discussed the fire station remodel and considered a beer license application from WRF Guides. New business included designating a member for the ULCT LPC and discussing a conference hall remodel payment from LBA.
