Cottonwood Heights council weighs property tax increase, K-9 sale

Property tax proposal scaled back

Cottonwood Heights residents are still waiting for minutes from the July 21 City Council meeting, where council members were scheduled to act on multi-family zoning changes, a safety action plan consulting agreement, and the appointment of a new city attorney. Minutes have not yet been published, so the outcomes of those votes are not confirmed.

Recent meetings

The July 21 City Council agenda included five action items: Ordinance 470, which would amend CHC Sections 19.34.050, 19.34.060, and 19.34.100 regarding the Residential Multi-Family Zone; Resolution 2026-55, approving a consulting agreement with Kimley-Horn and Associates for a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan; Resolution 2026-57, approving a consulting agreement with Wm.
