Central Valley Meetings Address Subdivision, Water Rates; Decisions Pending
Central Valley's Planning Commission and Town Council met in August to take up a residential subdivision, water rate structure, and other items, but no decisions have been reported because meeting minutes have not yet been published.
Planning Commission: Brian Subdivision and Conditional Use Permit
On August 12, the Central Valley Planning and Land Use Commission held a public hearing on the Diana and Mike Brian subdivision. The commission discussed whether to send the subdivision to the Town Council for consideration. The agenda also included a review of a conditional use permit application from Gary Ovitt and approval of the July 8, 2026 meeting minutes. A second agenda item for the same date listed a public hearing for the Mike and Diana Brian Subdivision, with residents invited to comment at the Central Valley Community Center. No votes or decisions have been reported.
Town Council: Water Rates, Subdivision, and Attorney Updates
On August 19, the Town Council held a public hearing on the water rate structure. The agenda included reviewing and discussing water meters, reviewing and potentially approving the Brian subdivision, and receiving updates from the town attorney on canal conversion and Honus Busk status. The council also planned to approve the July 2026 minutes and monthly financials. As with the planning meeting, no decisions have been reported because minutes have not been published.
