Housing Authority considers ARPA funding

On June 29, the Maynard Housing Authority held a public hearing and regular meeting. The agenda included approval of a 2026 Capital Fund Program Five Year Action Plan, a budget revision, and a targeted American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) award of $373,531 for emergency funding. The board also discussed a facilities assessment at Powdermill Circle and a federal audit scheduled for July 14.

Board of Health eyes tobacco and waste rules

The Board of Health met June 23 with votes on new tobacco regulations and new Solid Waste and Recycling regulations on its agenda. The meeting also included a public comment period and a report from the Public Health Director. No outcomes were reported as of press time.

Powder Mill Road modification under review

The Planning Board on June 23 was set to determine whether changes requested by ASMC LLC for the 2-6 Powder Mill Road project constitute a minor or major modification to a 2024 special permit. The applicant proposed reducing the overall bedroom count and affordable unit obligation, while keeping the building footprint and exterior materials unchanged. The board also reviewed meeting minutes and received a planning update.
