San Clemente boards weigh contracts, parking rules, and shelter policies

In the past two weeks, San Clemente's City Council and several advisory committees met to consider a range of items, from sidewalk repairs and parking restrictions to animal shelter policies and public art appointments. City Council (Aug. 4)

The City Council's agenda included filling a vacancy on the Community Safety and Welfare Committee and an ordinance amending 72-hour parking restrictions in the municipal code. The council also considered a resolution awarding school crossing guard services to All-City Management Services, Inc., and two contract awards: $450,000 for Victoria sidewalk stabilization and $750,000 for general sidewalk repair, totaling $1.2 million. A supplemental appropriation for El Oriente Canyon tree removal and vegetation management was also on the agenda, along with a directive to staff to plan a community amphitheater.

Planning Commission (Aug. 5)
