County board funds interim hospital CEO, approves Verizon tower
The Pratt County Board of Commissioners approved funding for an interim CEO at Pratt Regional Medical Center and a special use permit for a Verizon communications tower at its Aug. 10 and Aug. 17 meetings. The board also approved several hires, wage adjustments, and certified the primary election results.
Hospital interim CEO funding
The board voted 3-0 to amend the Beeler Consulting Services addendum, making the county responsible for paying the interim CEO's professional fees and related expenses for Pratt Regional Medical Center. The action is intended to stabilize hospital operations.
Verizon tower permit
The board approved a special use permit (Case SU-2026-03) for a Verizon communications tower near NW 30th Avenue and NW 100th Street. The vote was 3-0.
Personnel actions
All personnel actions passed 3-0:
- Brianne Tilley as Intensive Supervision Officer II at $31.77 per hour
- Tyrena Markus to the Appraisers office at $17.00 per hour
- Dedra Koehn for dishwashing/custodian at $11.50 per hour
- Wage adjustment for Margo from $18.00 to $18.50 per hour
Other business
The board approved an emergency vehicle permit for Nicholas Moss of the City of Pratt Fire Department (3-0). At the Aug. 10 meeting, it certified the Aug. 4 primary election results at the canvass. Minutes of the Aug. 3 meeting and vouchers for Aug. 10 were approved at the Aug. 17 meeting.

The board will hold its next regular meeting on Aug. 24. The agenda includes a possible ban on data centers, a personnel request from Senior Services, the annual bridge inspection report, a quote from Tenex, and an economic development update.
