Orange County Board Denies 15 Property Appeals, Adjusts One Value
The Orange County Board of Equalization and Review denied standing for 15 property appeals and adjusted one tax value at its Aug. 11 meeting, according to official minutes. The board also ruled on three late-listing penalty compromises and approved minutes from two prior meetings.
Property Appeals and Penalties
The board voted 3-0 to deny standing for 11 appeals based on perceived aggrievement and 3-0 to deny standing for 4 appeals due to lack of legal connection. It accepted the county's recommended value change for PIN 9898875432, setting the value at $544,200, and accepted no change for PIN 9799028061.084, keeping it at $52,000.
On late-listing penalties, the board granted full compromises for DW Evans Electric (reducing $193.03 to $0) and Hall Real Estate Inc. ($12.32 to $0), both by 3-0 votes. It denied a compromise for Concise Networks LLC, keeping a $12.62 penalty, by a 2-1 vote.
