Kennesaw Council approves 35-home subdivision, annexation

City Council Work Session (Aug. 10)

The board approved a financial report showing a cash balance of $179,175.23 as of July 31 (6-0), and agreed to add a review of flex grant guidelines and potential clawbacks to a future meeting agenda.

• **Historic Preservation Commission (Aug. 21):** Approved May 15 meeting minutes (4-0) and a financial report (5-0). No action was taken on the CBD parking lot application at 2250 Lewis Street; no motion was made.

Kennesaw council approves $24,521 city manager search contract; millage rate hearings continue August 3

The Kennesaw City Council unanimously approved a $24,521 agreement with Slavin Management Consultants for city manager executive search services at its July 20 meeting, part of a slate of routine approvals that also included an interim city manager contract and June 2026 crime statistics.

City Council — July 20

The council voted 5-0 on each item before it, including the interim city manager contract, approval of three sets of prior meeting minutes (June 29 work session, June 29 special budget work session, and July 6 regular meeting), and the June 2026 crime statistics as presented. The council entered executive session for personnel matters and returned to open session, both by 5-0 votes. Millage Rate Hearings Begin
