Kaufman City Council, KEDC, Keep Kaufman Beautiful Board hold recent meetings; budgets and tax rate on agenda

City Council

Keep Kaufman Beautiful Board

The KKBB met Aug. 18 for a regular working meeting. The agenda included discussion and an update on a mural installation proposal, planning for a fall clean-up event, and an update on the board's affiliation with Keep Texas Beautiful, including bylaws, organizational structure, and mission statement. The board also discussed potential projects and grant opportunities. Public comment was allowed.

Kaufman council weighs budget, tax rate; KEDC budget vote set for Aug. 11

Kaufman city officials this week continued work on the proposed fiscal year 2026-2027 budget, including a proposed property tax rate of $0.7590000 per $100 valuation.
