Kent Council weighs downtown plan, $136K audit; boards take up zoning, art

Kent officials this week are weighing a 20-year downtown growth blueprint and related zoning changes, while the City Council also moves on a $136,000 state audit contract and a new 10-year franchise for a communications company. The decisions come as several advisory boards meet on topics from bicycle access to public art.

Downtown plan and zoning

Civil Service Commission — Police and Corrections Staffing

The Civil Service Commission met July 22 (with a related City Council item July 21) to act on several personnel matters.
