Grants Pass Council Approves Sign Appeal, Adopts CDBG Action Plan

City Council

Grants Pass council leases 5th Street for charity dinner; historic commission approves downtown awnings

The Grants Pass City Council adopted a resolution authorizing the City Manager to lease a portion of 5th Street between G Street and H Street to Main Street Grants Pass for a Farm to Table dinner event, with $800 in fees and $1,000,000 per-occurrence liability insurance required.

City Council: 5th Street lease for event

The council adopted the resolution at a July 22 special meeting. The lease covers 5th Street between G Street and H Street for July 23, 2026. The fee is set at $800, paid via a Special Event permit. The agreement requires $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate liability insurance. Alcohol service is permitted from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. by licensed OLCC pourers. Municipal code currently prohibits alcohol service on city property; the lease addresses that restriction.
