The Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing Aug. 18 on Case 2026-26, a text amendment to Title 16 that would allow property owners to rebuild nonconforming residential uses within three years of destruction, with stipulations. The commission will forward a recommendation to city council.

Community and parks

The Parks and Recreation Commission voted on its 2026 goals and heard updates on Arapahoe County open space grants for Belleview Park Playground and Centennial Park, Belleview Park pickleball courts, and the Renew and Recreate bond projects. The Miller Field project is expected to go out to bid in October. The Historic Preservation Commission discussed Colorado State Historic Fund grant opportunities and the upcoming Englewood Block Party on Aug. 29.
