The Finance Committee and Selectmen reviewed five transfers totaling $23,022:

• $8,072 from Planning to Board of Appeals for outstanding peer review invoices tied to the Stonegate Landing development.
• $3,450 from Health Insurance to Public Buildings for panic button installations.
• $8,000 from Health Insurance to Tax Title for tax takings.
• $2,000 from Health Insurance to Conservation for legal invoices.
• $1,500 from Health Insurance to Board of Appeals for additional Stonegate Landing peer review costs.

A separate Finance Committee meeting July 7 is also expected to address departmental transfers.

Appointments and license action

The Selectmen agenda also included two proposed appointments: Melanie Silva as Highway Office Manager and Kathryn Molinski as Librarian–Technical Services. If approved, both would fill staff positions in the highway and library departments. The board was also set to vote on rescinding the on-premises all-alcohol license for Upcycle Edibles (Alice's Last Stop). The reason for the potential revocation was not listed in the public agenda.

Development and zoning

The Zoning Board of Appeals on June 23 discussed an outstanding $8,071.38 balance owed by Stonegate Landing LLC and sought a status update on roadway and pothole repairs in Phase 1 of the project. The board also considered budget transfer requests from the Planning Board and Health Insurance department, and scheduled an executive session related to Strawberry Fields vs. Town of Dighton.

On July 1, the Planning Board opened a public hearing on a proposed amendment to Subdivision Rules Section 4320 that would allow above-ground/open stormwater detention, retention, or infiltration facilities without a Board of Health variance. The board also heard Trinity Solar’s special permit and site plan review for 1205 Briggs Street, a definitive subdivision application from Antone P. Roderick at 128 Hart Street, and an extension request for Bell Farm Estates at 0 Milk Street and 0 Council Oak Way. The board discussed whether to disband the Stormwater Committee and reviewed tabled Town Meeting warrant articles.

School district items

The Dighton Rehoboth Regional School Committee on June 23 was scheduled to evaluate the superintendent, review kindergarten waivers, consider fiscal year 2027 capital expenditures, athletic trainer renewal, and special education service provider job descriptions. A communications subcommittee also met to plan community engagement on new school building schematic designs, including a July event.

Other board activity

The Board of Assessors on June 25 prepared to approve preliminary fiscal 2027 real estate and personal property tax warrants for multiple districts and sign various abatements. An executive session on Dighton Power LLC was listed. The Dighton 250th Anniversary Committee planned to select a chair, review a graphic design for commemorative t-shirts, and discuss a quote from Marcotte Design. The Conservation Commission and North Dighton Fire District each considered end-of-year budget transfers.
