D155 board to weigh e-learning renewal, park district facility-sharing deals
The Community High School District 155 Board of Education will consider renewing its e-learning plan and approving facility-sharing agreements with the Crystal Lake and Cary Park Districts at its Aug. 18 meeting. The board also plans to vote on bills and review personnel and FOIA reports. That meeting is one of three sessions held that day; the other two are committee meetings with discussion-only agendas. Minutes have not yet been published, so no outcomes are known.
Board of Education
The board will hold a public hearing and vote on a resolution to renew the district's e-learning plan. It will also consider intergovernmental agreements for facility sharing with the Crystal Lake and Cary Park Districts. The agenda includes approval of bills for August 2026 and the personnel report for that month. According to the FOIA report, two requests were granted in part or denied in part, and two were denied for lack of verification.
Operations Committee
The Operations Committee will discuss the same two facility-sharing agreements with the park districts. No votes are scheduled; the agreements are presented for discussion. The committee will also approve minutes from its May 14, 2026 regular meeting and May 19, 2026 Operations Committee meeting.
Board Policies and Human Resources Committee
This committee will discuss the 2027-2028 school calendar, a workforce program called "Growing our Own Educators," and feedback on spring 2027 softball. It will also approve minutes from its July 21, 2026 meeting and take public comment. No votes are listed on the agenda; items are for discussion only.
All three meetings took place on Aug. 18, 2026. Because minutes have not yet been published, the outcomes of these items are not yet known.
