Ottawa County commissioners approve Workforce Hub change order, Genoa annexation

Ottawa County commissioners handled a range of business over the past two weeks, including a major project change order, a village annexation, and several contracts and personnel actions. Workforce Hub and infrastructure

On Aug. 11, the board jointly adopted resolutions for maintenance assessments on two county ditches: Resolution 26-23 for Toussaint Creek (approved 2-0 by Ottawa, 3-0 by Sandusky, 2-0 by Wood) and Resolution 26-24 for Woodrick ditch (2-0 Ottawa, 3-0 Sandusky).

Contracts and services

The Aug. 6 meeting included a $50,000 service contract with Senior Resources for home-delivered meals and a $3,000 speaker agreement with Mighty Crow Media for a training event. Commissioners also amended a professional services agreement to correct the company name to DGL Consulting Engineers.

On Aug. 11, the board authorized a $5,000 agreement with Total Communications for IT support and adopted Resolution 26-22 for OPWC funding application signatories. On Aug. 13, they approved the promotion of Kory Conrad to Water Operator III/Maintenance at $31.35 per hour (2-0).

Routine items included travel expense requests, fund transfers and appropriations, and voucher reports: $725,092.30 on Aug. 6, $715,080.65 on Aug. 11, and $100,825.03 on Aug. 13. Jail Health and Senior Services
