Board of Adjustments — Aug. 12

The Board of Adjustments held a public hearing Aug. 12 on a variance request from Cord Wright to build a 30x40-foot garage at 1706 9th Street. The property is Block 25, Lot 11, College Addition, Woodward County. According to the agenda, the proposed garage would exceed city limits under Ordinance 154.018(C)(6): total lot coverage would be 34.5%, above the 30% maximum, and rear yard coverage would be 38.3%, above the 20% maximum. The board was scheduled to decide whether to grant the variance. The outcome is not yet available.

Woodward city boards to consider water rate increase, budget amendments at July 6 meetings

The Woodward City Commission and the Woodward Municipal Authority will meet Monday, July 6, to consider an ordinance that would raise water rates. Neither board took action in the past two weeks, as the only scheduled meeting — the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission — was cancelled.

City Commission to consider water rate ordinance, budget amendments

The City Commission will vote on Ordinance No. 1796, which amends water rates in Section 52.17 of the city code. The commission will also review two change orders from Parkhill for the Cheyenne-Osage CIPP Rehabilitation project: Change Order No. 2 and Change Order No. 3. Two supplemental budget amendments are on the agenda: Supplemental Budget Amendment No. 1 to the FY 2025-2026 General Fund and Supplemental Budget Amendment No. 1 to the FY 2025-2026 Restricted Sales Tax Fund. Routine consent items include appointments to committees and facility use agreements with rodeo associations.

Woodward Municipal Authority to review water rates, sewer projects

The Municipal Authority board will discuss and vote on the same water rate ordinance (Ordinance No. 1796) to establish new rates for the city. They will also consider the same two change orders from Parkhill Engineering for the Cheyenne-Osage CIPP Rehabilitation project. Additional items include Supplemental Budget Amendment No. 1 for the WMA Debt Service Fund and Supplemental Budget Amendment No. 1 for the WMA Fund Budget.
