Patterson Senior Commission Approves Minutes; Planning Commission Cancels Again

Data Center Moratorium Hearing (Agenda Only)

The City Council will hold a public hearing on Aug. 18 to consider extending Urgency Ordinance No. 899, which temporarily halts new data center development applications. The proposed extension would last 10 months and 15 days. The moratorium is currently set to expire Aug. 30, 2026. Planning Commission considers RV storage rezone; Economic panel to discuss downtown funding

The Patterson Planning Commission held a public hearing June 25 on a proposal to recommend that Stanislaus County rezone an 8.79-acre parcel at 261 Orange Avenue for an RV and boat storage facility. The commission’s meeting agenda, for which minutes have not yet been published, included consideration of a General Plan amendment and rezone application (PLN 2026-0010) that would change the property’s designation from Urban Transition and General Agriculture to Planned Development. The proposed facility would contain 197 graveled parking stalls for RVs, trailers, and boats. City staff noted the use is inconsistent with the property’s existing Low Density Residential designation under the city’s General Plan.

Planning Commission public hearing
