Monticello council eyes water plant land; planners to review housing rules

Monticello city officials are weighing the acquisition of land for a new water treatment plant, according to the June 22 City Council agenda. The item was one of several discussed at the meeting, though official minutes have not yet been published, so no final decisions are recorded.

Recent council meeting

The City Council met June 22 and reviewed a consent agenda that included payment of bills, new hires, a conditional use permit for Seven Brew, and a lease extension for Drawers of Davlee. Public hearings were held on a park dedication fee schedule and an associated ordinance.

The most significant item on the agenda was a discussion about acquiring land for the water treatment plant.
