The City Council meets July 7 with votes expected on the 34-lot development on Chicopee Street, a zone change for additional mobile home units at 725, 745 and 0 Memorial Drive, a $219,000 appropriation for police real-time information center analysts, and new ordinances: one permitting the city to clear snow from non-owner-occupied sidewalks and bill the owner, and another establishing a $100 fine for non-human-powered transport on natural surface paths.

The Zoning Board of Appeals hears four variance requests on July 8, including reduced side- and rear-yard setbacks for a mixed-use building at 520 Chicopee Street, a privacy fence height increase at 47 Maplewood Avenue, and undersized-lot allowances for dwellings on State Street and a new single-family lot on Empire Street.

On July 16, the Human Resources & Communication Committee considers mayoral appointments: Robert St. Lawrence to the License Commission (term June 2026–June 2028) and Melissa Harms to the Parks and Recreation Commission (term May 2026–May 2031). The committee will also discuss meetings with software vendors OpenGov, MuniTrac and Litix Insights.
