The Housing Board reviewed conclusions from the Stow Road Concept Development Committee and checked the status of the Homeowner Opportunity for Preservation and Equity (HOPE) Program and the Boxborough Rental Assistance Program. The board also went over feedback from the Fifer’s Day event and recertification letters.

The Economic Development Committee continued its review of the town’s economic development plan and held a zoning discussion. Members also covered local business outreach and the Village for a Day event, while the chairperson reported on a regional invitation from the Economic Development Industrial Corporation.

The Conservation Commission took up a certificate of compliance for 1160 Liberty Square Road, reviewed wetland bylaw regulations, and planned a re-organization of the commission. Updates were given on Perkins Woods beaver dam management and invasive species control.

Also meeting, the Perkins Woods Working Group reviewed the Sudbury Valley Trustees annual monitoring report and discussed a timeline for forestry, maintenance and invasive species plans, along with signage, kiosks and a shed encroachment issue.

Coming up

On July 6, the Planning Board will vote on a minor modification to the special permit for The Park at Beaver Brook. That same evening, the Board of Assessors will consider supplemental assessments and motor vehicle abatements. The Finance Committee gathers July 7 to hear the specialized stretch code presentation, elect chair and vice-chair officers, and review budget transfers. The Council on Aging meets July 13 for routine reports, and the Fire Station Building Committee has a procedural meeting set for July 15.
