WFISD agendas list district goals, safety purchases and software; minutes for all three meetings not yet posted

The Oct. 19 agenda listed the purchase and installation of safety doors and safety door locks.

The Oct. 13 public meeting agenda listed approval of minutes from the Aug. 10, 2026 meeting, after which the board was to enter a closed session. Items listed for that closed session were secure vestibules, window film and door decals, reunification tabletop exercise(s) and the EOP/Reunification Annex, and Cunningham door replacement. WFISD board agendas: tax rates, election order, and disaster recovery

The Wichita Falls ISD Board of Trustees held three meetings in the past week: a special session and a public meeting on Aug. 10, and a regular board meeting on Aug. 17. Agendas included setting the 2026-2027 tax rate, ordering a November election, and approving a disaster recovery agreement. Minutes have not been published, so no final decisions are confirmed.

Election and budget

At the Aug. 10 special session, the board was to consider an order of election for the Nov. 3, 2026 board election, covering Single Member Districts 1, 3, 5, and an At-Large position.
