center (EMC) on a monument sign at the front of the school, where the area of the digital copy
would exceed 50% of the area of the fixed copy. The property is zoned T5.1 (City Low Intensity)
with an existing civic use, and the existing monument sign is located at the corner of 8th Street
and Roselawn Drive.
Planner Laurel Scates presented the staff report, noting that there are no circumstances unique
to the property creating a hardship, and the decision to replace the existing sign requires the
current code to be applied. The proposed digital copy is approximately double the size permitted.

The Rogers Planning Commission met for a public meeting at Rogers City Hall at 301 W. Chestnut Street on
September 1, 2026, at 5:30 P.M. The meeting was called to order by Vice Chairman Derek Burnett followed by
the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL
Commissioners attending: Kevin Jensen, Megan Brown, Derek Burnett, Hannah Cicioni, Jorge Andrade, Isaac
Stevens.
DECLARATION OF ABSTENTION
Vice Chairman Burnett asked that any Commissioners needing to abstain on agenda items state so and not
participate in discussion or vote on the item. None
ACTION ON MINUTES
Motion by Cicioni, second by Stevens to approve the August 18, 2026, minutes as presented. Voice vote:
