A. Civic Leadership Academy — Certificates Presentation
The Civic Leadership Academy (CLA) had its inaugural session in Spring 2026, reworked by
the Citizens Leadership Academy that ran for nine sessions from 2014-2024. The CLA is a free
program open to Norristown residents to learn about their local government. This year, and
going forward, the program is focused on civics and the cohesive relationship between an
engaged community and their government. A dozen residents participated for one night-a-
week from April 14 through May 21 to learn everything from Home Rule Charter to public
safety.
