Thank you. I'd like you guys to join me by standing. We're going to have the Pledge of Allegiance by Mayor Pro Tem Holiday, and we're going to have our invocation by Pastor Larry Bogardus from Promise Christian Church. Please stand. Please place your right hand over your heart. Ready? Begin. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Thank you. Well, it seems like I'm getting to know you a little bit after seeing all the political signs on the street. I'm able to put some faces together with names, and it's good to be here. I also was sitting there recalling that coverage that you got in the news as you were debating or talking about e- bike regulations that made the news. So I hope that discussion went well. Thank you for allowing me to have this privilege of joining with you this afternoon and beginning your meeting with prayer. As many of you know, the Bible instructs Christians to pray for their government. And so it is indeed a privilege for me to be here with you this afternoon. And I want to assure you that if you're anything like Promise Christian Church, there are other churches throughout the city who are praying for you as well on a regular basis. We're praying for our national leaders, our state leaders, and our local leaders also. This afternoon, I want to ask God to give you his wisdom as you govern the affairs of our city. Godly wis …

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Let's pray. Lord Jesus, we thank you that today we are able to come in your name to be able to give back to you our worship and our praise for the lives that you give us, for in you we live and move and have our being. Indeed, we are one nation under God, and we are one city united under God as well. And as the wall in this room states, we trust in you, God, for all things. We pray, Lord, that you would give a blessing over each of our lives. Lord, we pray your blessing upon the mayor, the city council, Lord, the city manager, the staff, all who are involved in helping lead from inside, Lord, but also those who are in the departments that spend time out in the trenches. And we pray, Lord, that your blessing would continue to be upon our police department, our firefighters and others. Lord, even today as a member of the parks department is honored, Lord, we thank you for all the workers that continue to support a beautiful city by which we can live and move and have our being underneath you. And they better take it out, yeah. Good afternoon. Welcome to the regular City Council meeting of September 15th, 2026. Madam City Clerk, can I please have a roll call? Here. Mayor Lavelle. Here. Let the record reflect all members are present with the exception of Council Member DeForest. Thank you very much. At this time, we're going to do the Pledge of Allegiance and Invocation. The Pledge of Allegiance is going to be led by Mr. Ron Holliday, and our Invocation today is led by Jim Jackson of the Orchard Church. Thank you for standing. Please repeat after me. I pledge allegiance to the Father, and to the Republic. It's my pleasure to give the Invocation today, and I just want to say on behalf of the Orchard Church, what a great job you are doing, and I appreciate your hard work in the labor of leadership. Leadership is a special. It's a special weight, but God has placed it on us to help lead people into the future, and we are so appreciative to everybody that is connected to the great city of Marietta. And Proverbs 11, 14 says that with the plans of many, there can be failure, but with good guidance, there can be victory, and I am praying for that and a blessing on our city today and our leadership. Let's pray. Jesus, we ask you for an extra measure of wisdom. Upon the men and women of this city, we ask you for an extra measure of wisdom. Upon the men and women that lead this city, God, our nation and our state and our local officials, God, are in desperate need of your wis …

Thank you. Please rise for the Pledge of Allegiance. We'll have that led tonight by Commissioner Glassman. Ready, begin. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Before we move on, I'm just going to take a few seconds of time just to let people know, and I think a lot of people in the city do know, that we have a missing 14-year-old Marietta Valley High School student. Her parents are obviously very concerned. There's been a lot of talk on Facebook, various social media posts, and she's still among the missing. I don't know her personally. I've known her father since she was 14, but she's well-known in the community. So I just don't know how many people are out there watching on TV. I tend to think that probably fewer than watch the Super Bowl. But if you go to your social media sites that you visit, you probably see something posting. I just want to put that out there. So maybe we can get her home to her parents. Commissioners, we'll move on to the approval of the agenda. Commissioners, are there any changes to the agenda? If none, commissioners, please make a motion and second to approve the agenda. Commissioners, we'll move on to the agenda. Okay, thank you very much. All right, good evening. Today is August 26, 2026, and I'm going to call to order the regular meeting of the Muriel Planning Commission. Madam Secretary, would you please do a roll call for determination of a quorum? Here. All right, this moves us on to the Pledge of Allegiance. Commissioner Wojciech, you were standing, but could you please lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance, please? Place your hand, right hand over your heart. Ready to begin. All right, this moves us on to the approval of the agenda. Are there any changes to the agenda, Madam Secretary? I'll call for a motion and a second to approve the agenda. Would you like us to do this electronically? All right, we have a motion by Commissioner Wojciech, second by Commissioner Rose. Motion carries unanimously. I think we need to vote. If you want to do a roll call or electronic, either way is fine. We'll do electronic. Did you see it? We did see it. It was a motion by Commissioner Wojciech and then second by Rose. All right. Motion carries unanimously. 3-0. We still need to vote. Oh, yeah. Yeah, we're having the... You're probably predicting the outcome. Yeah. If you would rather us do a roll call vote, we can do that if it makes it simpler. We'll do a roll call vote. Chair Vrooman. Aye. Approve. Chair Wojciech. Aye. Commissioner Rose. Aye. Motion carries unanimously. 3-0. Okay. This moves us on to... Public comments. At this time, we'll take public comments. Any person may address the Planning Commission on any subject …

Thank you. And just a heads up, the team's software side of that is lagging today. So just please allow some patience and the buffering to get through. If that happens, we may get lucky. And then I also apologize for the warmth in here. We're not doing hot yoga, but the air conditioner is having issues, but we are currently working on it. Madam City Clerk, can you please do roll call? Council member Warren. Present. Council member DeForest. Here. Council member Stone. Here. Mayor Pro Tem Holiday. Here. Mayor Lavelle. Let the record reflect. All members are present. Thank you. At this time, we're going to do the Pledge of Allegiance. At this time, we will do the Pledge of Allegiance and the invocation. The Pledge of Allegiance is going to be led by Councilwoman Warren, and the invocation will be led by Dr. Fred Schaefer from the United Church of the Valley. If you are able, please stand, remove your hats, place your hand over your heart. Ready? Begin. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Oh, stand up. Let us be in a spirit of prayer as we begin with a moment of silence. God, you are with us here in this place even now. For there is no place we can go that you are not. You are a God of all people, God of different faiths. But more than that, you are also the God of community. Small communities, large communities. And on this day, we thank yo …
