Council to decide appointment vs. election for two city council seats
The Oakley City Council will consider whether to appoint sole nominees or hold elections for City Council Districts 2 and 4 in the November 3, 2026 election. Regular Meeting of the Oakley Planning Commission
Planning Commission to decide on liquor permit, rezone, appeal, zoning text changes
The Oakley Planning Commission will hold public hearings on four items: a conditional use permit for liquor sales at 5540 Bridgehead Road, a General Plan Amendment and Rezone for the Bridgehead Business Park, an appeal of a zoning determination at 5279 Neroly Road, and zoning text amendments for housing element implementation. They will also hold a work session on the Technical Zoning Code Update and consider consent calendar minutes.

Council to vote on short-term rental rules, street projects, and salary schedule
The Oakley City Council will hold a public hearing on an ordinance amending short-term rental rules, including unhosted stays in the Downtown Specific Plan, and receive an update on SB 346. The consent calendar includes approving construction agreements for four capital improvement projects: street repair and resurfacing (CIP 333B), O'Hara Avenue widening (CIP 320), Main Street/Rose Avenue intersection improvements (CIP 211), and Main Street/Delta Road signalization (CIP 268). The council will also vote on adopting the FY 2026/27 salary schedule and adding two new classifications.
