✓ Decidido: Gahanna Planning Commission denies 360 Carpenter Road lot-split variance 6-1
The Planning Commission approved a breezeway setback variance at 258 James Road 7-0 and denied a variance at 360 Carpenter Road that would have allowed a lot split creating a parcel with no frontage on a public right-of-way, voting 6-1. The Gahanna Flex Park development plan and its four variances were postponed to a date certain of September 9, 2026, after staff found one variance was omitted from the application's front page and may not have been properly advertised. The meeting was the Commission's last in the existing building before the move to 825 Tech Center Drive.
- Approved variance V-0014-2026 for a 195-sq-ft breezeway within the side-yard setback at 258 James Road (7-0)

Our Gahanna Strategic Plan Priorities for 2027
Councilmember Renner explained that the purpose of the discussion was
to move from a broad conversation toward clear Council direction for

Councilmember Renner stated that the administration had provided three
proposed priority areas, each supported by actionable statements, and
suggested using those recommendations as the starting framework. He
