NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Special Meeting of the Common Council of the City of
Summit will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 in the Council Conference Room on
the first floor at Summit City Hall, 512 Springfield Ave., Summit, NJ, for the purpose of discussing
Attorney/Client privileged affordable housing matters, which calls for exclusion of the public from
the meeting; and any other matters which are not known at this time but which may subsequently be
determined to require its attention at this meeting.
The Special Meeting is open to the public, subject to the applicable provisions of the Open
Public Meetings Act (N.J.S.A.10:4-6 et seq.). Beginning at 5:30 pm, there will be an opportunity for
members of the public to provide public comment, which will be held in the Council Chamber on
the first floor at Summit City Hall prior to entry into Closed Session, upon consideration of a Closed
Session resolution.

✓ Decidido: Council approves Wilson Park subdivision for affordable housing
The Common Council adopted Ordinance 26-3381, authorizing the subdivision of municipal property at Block 1702, Lot 48 (Wilson Park) and its transfer by private sale to a nonprofit for affordable housing. The vote was 5-1, with Councilmember Landman opposed. The Council also introduced several bond ordinances and other measures, including a ban on AI data centers, which passed 5-1 with Councilmember Boyer opposed.

The meeting was called to order by Council President Toth at 7:30 PM. The City Clerk then read the
following notice:
“Adequate notice of this meeting has been provided by the City Clerk in the preparation of the Council
Annual Meeting Notice of Closed Session and Regular Meetings, dated December 17, 2025, which set
forth the date, time, and place of this meeting and by properly posting such notice and forwarding the
notice to those designated newspapers and the persons requesting meeting notices. Please be further
advised that the FIRE EXITS are to my RIGHT your left, and at the BACK OF THE ROOM.
Please be further advised that the City has an Assistive Listening System for the hearing impaired. We
have three (3) assistive hearing devices. If anyone needs them, please raise your hand and the device
