Finance Committee

Finance Committee to consider eliminating Opera House Manager, new $80k Assistant Director

Council to vote on TIF deal with JT Klein, ALPR cameras, and multiplex apartments

Minutes of the Food Pantry Committee Board Meeting – July 16, 2024 1. The meeting was called to order at 2:45. All 5 board members were present: Val Macho, Sandy Fleming, Diane Williams, Linda Stace and Mike Heger. A quorum was established and compliance with the Open Meetings Act was verified 2. Minutes from the February Meeting- Val M moved to approve the minutes with Sandy F seconding. Val M, Sandy F, Diane W and Mike H, all voted in favor. Linda S abstained as she was not a board member at that time 3. On August 4th, Mike H will present a report on the pantry to the City Council committee. Topics to be included – A thank you to the city and its staff for their assistance, statistics on pantry usage, concern over the possible sale of the building to Yahara Distilling, 4. Summer produce – On Monday the Madison Area Food Pantry Gardens is delivering to the pantry fresh high-quality produce. Val will coordinate this order with items we are receiving from Second Harvest and local gardens 5. Review of financials – The board has pledged to maintain a significant monetary balance to cope with changes in prices and demand for pantry service. Our review showed very large donations in the final quarter of 2025 and thus we remain in excellent financial shape 6. Review of Providing extra foods for grandparents caring for non-adult children.
