coming out. What sets us apart, I think, is our overall environment, atmosphere, kind of aesthetic, having a new spin out here in the Inland Empire, but I think also coming in and getting a great customer service, really welcoming feeling is something you kind of don't get all the time, but I feel like our staff makes everyone feel super welcomed and really engaged, so everyone leaves here having just like a great overall experience and enjoys the atmosphere. Since moving here, a lot of people have kind of came in multiple times who maybe lived down the street or just a few miles away, so I've definitely seen an influx of people coming out regularly and stopping by even when it's like within the same week. The advice I give to other entrepreneurs is just to go for it and do what feels right for you and your business despite maybe not feeling like it's the most perfect decision or just being unsure. The best you can do is just try and you'll never know if you succeed if you don't go for it. So just hit the ground running and keep going. Keep going. We are here because we're brewing up business. Chino is absolutely a phenomenal place to be. Multi-generational city. We've been here over a hundred years and very business friendly. You're going to love Ch ino. -As far as businesses are concerned, I personally want to see something for everyone. I want our kids to be able to stay in town, have entertainment places to go. I also want all kinds of entertainment for every age group. W …

Sets apart, I would say being a Marriott hotel, we more focus on service as well as a local community, what we support and more hospitality, I would say. So it's not only just a basic room and, you know, guests can come and sleep, but we focus as a whole hospitality more warm and welcoming . That's what our goal normally we follow. Business grown every year, pretty much, I would say since opening December 6, 2023, right? Now we are at about one and a half year plus, but every year we see significant growth. This year is much more, I would say 10 to 20% more than what we were in the first year. And surrounding area, what we see a lot of opportunity still considering our location. And one of the biggest location I would say about the BAPS Swaminathan Temple, that helps a lot, a lot of weddings and a lot of events happening there. Guests do come and stay here. Besides that, we do get a lot of teams. That gives us a good growth opportunity. And we are still seeing a lot of opportunity around the businesses in the area, which we are trying to explore too. true. Thank you. I opened up my own studio and Fit Body was nice enough to let me sublease space from them. And it grew from there. About 11 years ago, we opened up the space you see here behind me. And this weekend, we celebrate our 14th year anniversary. And this just has become my home community. Most of our advertising is simply word of mouth. And so the fact that people continue to tell their friends to come here is somethin …

Thank you. I'd like to invite Chino Police Department explorers led by explorer Jonathan Torres, who's going to lead us in the pledge. So if you'd please stand. Thank you. Good evening, everyone. Please place your hand above your heart, please. Your hand. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Thank you. Thank you very much, Jonathan. Let's give him a hand. Okay. It's my honor this evening to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of one of Chino's most cherished spaces, our Ch ino Community Garden. Over the past decade, this space has grown into a place of connection, learning, and shared harvests. It's my pleasure this evening to honor the people and the plants that have made it all possible. I'd like to call up Rachel Phelps from Community Services, Parks and Recreation. She's our coordinator. Brittany Sarkal, our supervisor of Community Services, Parks and Recreation. And our Parks and Recreation specialist, Caitlin Chavez. And also, Xochihuerta, Betty Cielo, and Nathan Franco. Would you all please come up? It's Nathaniel, not Nathan. Planning Commission
Planning Commission reviews 400-megawatt battery facility and 55-home subdivision
The Chino Planning Commission will hold public hearings on three development proposals requiring zoning approvals, specific plan amendments, and a permit time extension. If approved, these items would authorize 55 single-family homes in East Chino, extend the timeline for a 72-unit assisted living facility, and permit a 400-megawatt battery energy storage system on industrial land. These decisions determine local land-use patterns, housing supply, and infrastructure placement within city limits.
- PL26-0019/PL25-0120/PL25-0121: East Chino Specific Plan amendment and Tentative Tract Map to subdivide 12.42 adjusted gross acres for 55 single-family homes
- PL18-0057.TE06/PL18-0058.TE06: Sixth one-year time extension for a previously approved 3-story, 72-unit assisted living facility on 3.07 acres in RD20 zoning
- PL25-0085/PL25-0086 + Development Agreement: Approval to construct and operate a 400-megawatt battery energy storage system on 13.89 acres in the General Industrial (M2) district, with staff recommending an agreement for Dirac Project LLC
- Consent Calendar: Approve regular meeting minutes from May 20 and June 17, 2026
