Mr. Hendrick introduced Ms. Megan Fay, partner, Capital City Consulting, who provided the board members with an overview of the current budget proposals. She shared comments regarding proposals from the House and Senate and compared the two with regard to Base Student Allocation (BSA), Florida Education Funding Program (FEFP), mental health and school safely allocations.
Ms. Fay shared additional comments regarding policies that are currently under consideration including sports and extracurricular activities, universal choice, Veterans Day, materials harmful to minors and sovereign immunity.
