II. Approval of Minutes
The committee reviewed the minutes from the previous meeting. With no corrections noted, the minutes were accepted as presented.
III. Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) – Rooftop Solar Project
Bill Hodel and Alan Lo presented a proposal for a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Verogy for a rooftop solar installation at Norwalk High School/P-TECH.
Project Scope: This will be the fifth district school to utilize rooftop solar. The system is projected to save approximately $2 million in energy costs over a 20-year period.
Carport Solar Update: Alan Lo recommended against the previously discussed carport solar system due to high capital costs, structural complexity, and minimal financial return (projected $70,000 loss over 20 years). Concerns regarding aesthetics and security were also noted.

Rob Pennington presented the annual updates to the Program of Studies, outlining course offerings and pathways. The process begins in November with department heads and principals to ensure alignment with the district's Portrait of a Graduate .
Graduation & Financial Literacy Requirements
Credit Distribution: Carol Wiltshire-Toth reviewed the 25-credit requirement.
New Mandate: Starting with the Class of 2027 (current rising juniors) , students must complete a 0.5 credit Financial Literacy course. Multiple pathways exist to meet this, including a high-level dual-enrollment option.
