1 ZONING ADMINISTRATOR 2 AUGUST 25, 2026 MEETING MINUTES 3 4 Village Staff: Scott Mangum, Community Development Director 5 Christopher Marx, Associate Planner 6 7 Call to Order: 8 Mr. Mangum called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. 9 10 New Applications: 11 a. Case No. ZBA-26-26-ZA - 1050 Starr Road: An application seeking approval of a zoning variation to allow 12 an addition to the existing residence that provides less than the minimum required side yard setback for the 13 property at 1050 Starr Road. The Zoning Administrator has final jurisdiction on this request. 14 Mr. Mangum stated he had reviewed the application materials and asked the applicant for a summary. Tom 15 Corbett, the project contractor, described the brick home built in 1926 which did not have a modern layout. He 16 identified the current garage setback and stated the request is to add an addition for a family room which required 17 a variation. Mr. Corbett stated the proposed family room addition would be proportional to a home of this size and 18 area and that the requested setback would be 9 feet. 19 20 Peter Raith, the homeowner, stated the request would make the current home workable within the criteria. He 21 stated the small adjustment would make the home more efficient and add value and living space. Winnetka Council to consider banning short-term rentals, review 455 Linden development

The Village Council will introduce and potentially adopt an ordinance (MC-03-2026) to prohibit short-term rentals in Winnetka. The Council will also conduct a concept review for a planned development at 455 Linden Street and consider several consent agenda items including a fiber-optic license agreement with Ezee Fiber Texas, LLC and approval of the annual outdoor seating area permit. A presentation on the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report is scheduled.
