District 5 Advisory Board

City Council Meetings
The council will hold public hearings on establishing a Community Improvement District and approving a development agreement for 3109 E. Douglas. Advanced Plans Committee

Board of Zoning Appeals
The Board of Zoning Appeals will consider a variance request to reduce front and street side setbacks for a pole barn on property zoned RR-Rural Residential at 10730 North Ave E. Staff recommends denial, finding the request does not meet the five criteria. The board will also approve minutes from prior meetings.

Wichita-Sedgwick County Metropolitan Area Planning Commission
The Metropolitan Area Planning Commission will vote on several subdivision plats, vacation requests, conditional uses, and zone changes. Key items include a zone change from single-family to university district for student housing, a conditional use for a wrecking and salvage facility, and a PUD zone change at South Greenwich Road.

City Council Meetings
The Wichita City Council will set the maximum property tax levy for the city and its districts, and approve a $498,340 settlement for a claim. They will also consider several zoning changes, including a PUD for Blue Lake near West MacArthur and West Street, and approve contracts for the College Hill Neighborhood Plan overlay and mass storage.

Citizen's Review Board

Board of Zoning Appeals
The Board of Zoning Appeals will vote on three variance requests. One seeks to allow a manufactured home that is 18 feet wide instead of the required 22 feet, but staff recommends denial. The other two requests (reduced parking for a group residence and increased billboard height) have staff approval recommendations.

Delano Design Advisory Committee
The Delano Design Advisory Committee will review several proposals for development and renovations in the Delano Neighborhood Overlay. Key items include a new duplex at 436 S. Walnut, a roof replacement with gutter modifications at 1813 W. University, and a project for three duplexes at 320 S. Saint Clair. The committee's recommendations will be forwarded to the Design Review Committee.

Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board
The advisory board will review the WAMPO regional active transportation plan and discuss the latest bicycle and pedestrian crash data.
