They also approved a $250,000 funding agreement with Fuquay-Varina for park amenities at a future school site, accepted a $44.75 million FAA grant for RDU Airport, and approved a conservation easement on the Bunn property. All votes were 6-0 with one excused absence.

Board of Commissioners

The Wake County Board of Commissioners approved a series of items, including amendments to the Unified Development Ordinance (OA-03-21) covering road signs, industrial district uses, and removal of the Residential Highway Commercial zoning district. The board also approved funding agreements with the Town of Apex for two greenway projects and additional financing for the Broadstone Walk affordable housing development. All votes were 6-0 with one commissioner excused.
