The Twin Falls City Council approved a $1,807,531 contract for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Boiler Construction Package, funded from wastewater funds. It also approved $175,000 for an irrigation pond lining project, accepted a $44,039 FAA grant for airport concessionaire relief, and authorized an Assistance to Firefighters Grant application. The council approved a height variance for a building on 2nd Avenue South and an annexation with C-1 zoning at Kimberly and Hankins Roads. All votes were 7-0.

The Twin Falls City Council held its annual organizational meeting, approving the consent calendar and selecting new leadership. Council Member Ruth Pierce was elected Mayor by a 4-3 vote, and Council Member Chris Reid was elected Vice Mayor by a 7-0 vote. Newly elected council members Jason Brown and Spencer Cutler took their oaths of office, and certificates of appreciation were awarded to outgoing Mayor Suzanne Hawkins and Councilman Greg Lanting.
