MINUTES: Councilmember Werner motioned to approve the Council meeting minutes for February
10, 2026. There was no Council Workshop meeting on February 24, 2026. Councilmember Marcy

FINANCIAL REPORT: Councilmember Lamphere motioned to approve the February 2026 financial
report; seconded by Councilmember Marcy; all in favor; motion carried.
GUEST SPEAKERS: Lorraine Armstrong on behalf of the Betterton Day Committee is organizing a
5K run/ walk for July 31st (the evening before Betterton Day). Event will start at 6 p.m. Permitting
requires local government as well as other county and state officials to sign off on a special event permit
due to usage of roadways. The Betterton Fire company will offer fire police for the planned route for
traffic assistance as well as the Kent County Sheriff's department.
