Board of Adjustment

The Board of Adjustment will meet to review a request for a special exception regarding land use. The board is deciding whether to allow an indoor recreation facility in a medium industrial zoning district.

City Council

Planning & Zoning Commission

The Planning & Zoning Commission will hold two quasi-judicial public hearings: a rezoning of 1 acre at 3640 SW 7th Place from Institutional to Medium Industrial, and amendments to the development agreement for the Grand Oaks Town Center PUD (formerly Stolen Hours PUD) on about 56.72 acres near SW 27th Avenue and SW 42nd Street. The commission will also vote on a conceptual subdivision plan for Winding Oaks Commercial Phase 2. All recommendations are advisory to the Ocala City Council, which will take final action on the rezoning and the development agreement amendment at a later date.

The Ocala Municipal Code Enforcement Board will hold hearings on nine new code enforcement cases alleging violations such as weeds, trash, tree removal without a permit, illicit discharge, and lack of building permits. The board will also consider a request for petition in one case and address a consent agenda for non-compliance hearings on eight older cases. The meeting begins at 5:30 PM on April 10, 2025, in City Council Chambers.
