Main Street
The Choose Newton Main Street board met to review its 2024 work plan and discuss a proposed façade improvement grant program modeled after Junction City’s pilot. Staff presented the Junction City example, which offers up to $1,000 in reimbursements for eligible building upgrades that improve downtown commercial properties used by residents and visitors. If the board approves the model, staff will draft Newton’s version for City Commission review next month.
