Board of Adjustments
The Board of Adjustments will hold a public hearing on a request from Sabo Design Associates for a height variance at 402 & 410 W 13th Street. The variance would allow a 10-foot increase in height for a single-family home as part of a plan to redivide two lots into six. The Board of Commissioners will consider two orders: one to renew the city's property, liability, and workers' compensation insurance for $790,584, and another to authorize up to $7 million in industrial revenue bonds for the Ann Street residential development. The Newport Historic Preservation Commission will hold a special meeting to decide on two public hearings: a certificate of appropriateness for replacing sandstone steps with substitute materials at 628 Nelson Pl., and a hearing regarding painting of unpainted masonry in the Buena Vista Local Historic District at 914 Central Ave. The meeting also includes approval of minutes from the May 27, 2026 regular meeting.
