City Council Special Meeting

Recreation and Parks Board Meeting

Special Port Commission Meeting Dec. 7, 2021

The Port Commission will review and consider proposals for ground leases at the Harbor of Refuge. The body will also receive financial reports for the Port Revenue Fund and hold a closed session for legal consultation.

The Port Commission met in special session on Dec. 7, 2021, and took no substantive action. The commission entered closed session and returned with no action on matters discussed. The meeting adjourned at 10:40 a.m.

Special Port Commission Meeting

The Port Commission of the City of Port Lavaca is meeting to consider a new lease for specific tracts at the Harbor of Refuge. This follows the expiration of the current lease on December 31, 2021.

The Port Commission approved a two-year lease (Jan 1, 2022 – Dec 31, 2023) for Encore on Tracts 17 and 17(A) at the Harbor of Refuge, with a 2-5% MCI adjustment on 10/1/2022. It also authorized Interim City Manager Jody Weaver to perform an environmental and legal certification survey of the tracts as of December 31, 2021. The lease follows the current lease's expiration on December 31, 2021.
