Commission on Equity

The Commission on Equity and Board of Park Commissioners are reviewing proposed updates to the Corporate Sponsorship and Naming Rights Policy. The City Council approved a major water infrastructure contract and updated animal cruelty laws. They also authorized an asset transfer between regional cities and renamed the Board of Park Commissioners.

Planning Commission

The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing regarding amendments to the Lacey Municipal Code for illicit discharges and wellhead protection. These updates are intended to comply with state stormwater permits and protect groundwater quality. Staff will also present survey results for the Neighborhood Commercial District update.

LEOFF I Board

The LEOFF I Disability Board is meeting to review and approve LEOFF I claims. The board will also review updates to Section 5 of the City of Lacey LEOFF I policies.

The Board approved policy updates that grant the HR Liaison delegated authority for spending up to $3,000 between meetings and change the meeting frequency to quarterly. The Board also reviewed several medical claim approvals and discussed future policy provisions for long-term care.
