Workforce Investment Council to approve new job-training credentials and Workforce Pell policies
The Workforce Investment Council will review and vote on new job-training credentials, including maritime and agricultural programs, and approve policies for the Workforce Pell program, which funds short-term training. The meeting also includes updates on workforce system transitions and bylaws review.

The council also approved all six Workforce Pell policies and the initial list of 12 programs eligible for Workforce Pell funding. The next meeting is scheduled for August 25, 2026, in Shreveport.
