Village Council

The Village Council will review a request from Monroe County to identify project recommendations within the US 1 Transportation Master Plan. These recommendations aim to improve traffic flow, safety, and congestion on US 1.

The Village Council unanimously approved a resolution identifying Islamorada's transportation priorities for Monroe County's U.S. 1 Transportation Master Plan, including 10 staff-recommended projects and four amendments proposed by Councilman David Webb. The amendments address the Florida Keys' carrying capacity and the need to curb vehicle proliferation. The Council also unanimously accepted Village Manager Greg Oravec's resignation, effective immediately.
