City Council

The City Council will consider resolutions to set a public hearing on properties deemed health/safety hazards, and to assess cleanup costs. They will also vote on an architectural services agreement for theater renovations at 825 N. Main Street, and a contract for herbicide applications. Several routine items, including approval of minutes and claims dockets, are also on the agenda.

The City Council established the Leaf and Bouie River Development District and approved several professional service agreements for city renovations and maintenance. The Council also authorized the City Attorney to execute an agreement regarding the St. James Wright VFW Post 5397 property. Additionally, the city received a $250,000 check for the Jaycee Park project.
