Grand Terrace public meetings in 2024

City Council

The Grand Terrace City Council will adopt a resolution officially confirming the November 5, 2024 municipal election results. It will also approve the November 12, 2024 meeting minutes and address the selection of a Mayor Pro Tempore. Additionally, the Mayor will present his appointments to various boards, commissions, and committees for Council approval.

The City Council unanimously approved the declaration of results for the November 5, 2024 General Municipal Election. The meeting also included the installation of Council Members Jeff Allen and Michelle Sabino, and the consent calendar was approved unanimously. Two new business items, selection of Mayor Pro Tem and Mayor's appointments, were moved to the next meeting on January 14, 2025.

Planning Commission

The Planning Commission and Site and Architectural Review Board will hold a public hearing regarding a request by Equipment Share. The body will consider approving a conditional use permit and site review for a construction equipment rental, sales, and repair business.

The Grand Terrace Planning Commission approved a combined Site and Architectural Review, Conditional Use Permit, and Environmental assessment for a project presented by owner David Star. The approval was unanimous (5-0) and included additional recommendations from the commission. No other action items or public hearings were held.

Planning Commission

The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider a Zoning Code Amendment (ZCA 24-04) that seeks to streamline the Grand Terrace Municipal Code. The body will also review an amendment to a public art project involving steel donkey sculptures.
