Community Development Authority

Police Commission

The Glendale Police Commission will hold a closed session to consider performance evaluation data for the Chief of Police and to interview a candidate for a police officer position. The commission will also discuss the recruitment and hiring process for police officers in open session. The Glendale Police Commission approved hiring Sam Kehoss as a prospective officer and voted to remove the two-year associate's degree requirement for new hires, instead requiring a high-school diploma with a contingency that new hires earn 60 credits within five years. The change is on a trial basis through the end of March 2025, after which it will be reevaluated. The commission also approved prior meeting minutes and held a closed session for the mayor's performance review of the police chief.

Citywide and REM Park Activities Committee

The Citywide and REM Park Activities Committee will review and take action on the 2025 events calendar and budget, including the 75th Anniversary celebration events. The agenda also covers other activities, volunteer recruitment, and subcommittee suggestions. This meeting follows previous discussions that made decisions on musical performers and event dates.
