After a lengthy hearing, the council voted 3-2 to approve a conditional use permit for a biogas renewable generation project at 3001 Scholl Canyon Road, overturning the Planning Commission's denial. The council also extended an interim urgency ordinance prohibiting hotel permits in the Downtown Specific Plan area by ten months and fifteen days.

Joint City Council and Housing Authority

The City Council and Housing Authority will consider accepting $2,735,430 in grant funds for the 2020 Continuum of Care Program. Additionally, officials will review a proposed ordinance and resolution regarding the selection processes for the Mayor and the Housing Authority Chair.

The Glendale City Council and Housing Authority jointly approved acceptance of a $2,735,430 grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the 2020 Continuum of Care program, with the City Council and Housing Authority each passing motions and a resolution of appropriation. The council also introduced an ordinance to establish a mayor selection process and approved a resolution amending Housing Authority bylaws for chair selection.
