City Council

Environmental Advisory Board

The Fairhope Environmental Advisory Board will review its 2024 priority issues, including greenspace and native habitat, sustainable waste management, energy policy, and water conservation. The board will also hear reports from the City Council, Planning Commission, Mayor’s Office, and city departments. The meeting will conclude with discussion of involvement and education opportunities and planning for next month’s agenda.

The Fairhope Environmental Advisory Board (FEAB) met on December 20, 2024, and decided to maintain its 2024 priorities through 2025, while expanding engagement with the city's Comprehensive Land Use Plan. The board also voted to disengage from the Community Resilience Index Workshop and regular city council meetings unless environmentally relevant items are on the agenda. FEAB submitted a letter of support for a RAISE grant to replace a culvert with a bridge at US Highway 98 over Fly Creek, and conducted a drone survey to assess pine bark beetle damage at Flying Creek Nature Preserve.

Airport Authority
