Planning Commission

The Planning Commission will hold a presentation and discussion regarding the capital budget. The body will also discuss town plans for 2024, including a presentation on health and equity from the VT Department of Health.

The commission reviewed capital budget constraints and infrastructure needs with the Public Works Director. A representative from the Department of Health presented strategies for integrating health and equity into the 2024 Town Plan. Essex Free Library Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees will meet to review the library director's report and discuss the 501c3 status. The meeting includes updates on the Town Meeting and budget, as well as a review of display and community bulletin board policies.

Housing Commission

The Housing Commission will review a proposed charter change regarding just cause evictions. The body will also receive updates on the Town Plan 2024 Working Group and discuss community outreach steps.

The Joint Housing Commission voted to support a proposed charter change that would allow the Town to create a Just Cause Eviction ordinance. The Commission authorized Chair Katie Ballard to provide a public comment to the Selectboard in support of the measure.

Energy Committee

Selectboard
