The Alcoholic Beverage Control Board held a sales tax hearing on September 17, 2024, addressing 12 cases of alleged alcohol sales without a license, non-payment of taxes, and expired occupational licenses. Joint Budget With Criminal Justice

The New Orleans City Council Budget Committee will discuss and vote on a series of civil service amendments and rule changes, including new pay rates for Sewerage and Water Board automotive technicians and a new IT specialist classification. The committee will also consider a contract amendment with Children's Hospital for medical services at the Juvenile Justice Intervention Center, increasing the total to $8.68 million, and a memorandum of understanding with multiple agencies to reduce violence.
